How to Make a Cloud Lifted Ebony Spline

Greene & Greene (G&G) breadboard ends are by no means flush with the sting or prime of a desk prime.  This proud look is then capped with a polished Ebony spline embedded in a mortise between the breadboard finish and the desk prime infield. The spline profile is lifted (typically referred to as a cloud carry) to intensify the proud look of the breadboard finish relative to the infield.  Moreover, the spline is pillowed to soften the sides of the spline.  This look can simply be achieved through the use of a clamping jig with a profile that a prime bearing bit can comply with.   Construction: The clamping jig is product of widespread ironmongery shop elements.
